Accounts Assistant Apprentice

We are looking for an apprentice to join our growing firm from April 2025 onwards.
Studying for Level 3 AAT apprenticeship qualification will provide the fundamentals of bookkeeping and accounting. It is a fully funded course involving day release to Exeter College.
However, the real value of an apprenticeship undertaken at Peplows is the time gaining valuable work experience alongside the rest of the tax team. Experience may also be gained in accounting and bookkeeping. The exact duties and responsibilities of the position will vary according to the location and department.

Typical duties include:

Recording financial transactions using a variety of software including Xero and Sage Collating and processing tax information to provide a draft tax return for review and approval Producing draft sets of accounts ready to be reviewed and approved Processing payroll and Pension Auto Enrolment Processing correspondence for clients, HMRC and others

Training:
You will attend Exeter College 1 day a week per term time to work towards your Level 3 Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship

Training Outcome:
The successful candidate will have the potential opportunity to become a permanent member of the department
