In the Homeless Prevention Officer role, you will be:

Delivering housing support & interventions, developing personal plans, and use practical measures like mediation, advocacy and referrals to prevent or relieve homelessnessProviding advice, information, and signposting to additional services tailored to the needs of each service userCollaborating with local agencies, landlords, and community organisations to secure housing options and support services Maintaining detailed records and managing case records and documentation securely and accurately
Taking services into the community through home visits, outreach activities, and participation in multi-agency meetings to address housing challenges collaboratively

In the Homeless Prevention Officer role, you will need:

Previous housing experience including case managementA strong understanding of housing legislation, particularly the Housing (Wales) Act 2014Problem-solving and organisation skills with a passion for helping people Excellent communication, advocacy, and collaboration skillsRespect confidentiality and handle personal data responsibly under GDPR
