2x Maintenance Assistants - Static Site - Birmingham - Salary up to £26,000 CBW has an excellent new opportunity for a maintenance assistant to join a leading facilities company.

This is covering a large commercial site where you will be carrying out various fabric and maintenance duties.

Key Responsibilities:Interpret and work from all instructions, drawings, and specifications appropriate to his/her skill level, without supervision.To perform a wide range of work to his/her skill level.

e.g., lamping, unblocking toilets, minor painting, assisting when carrying out fire alarm system testing, fault-finding on non-complexequipment and assisting in electrical/plumbing/building installation work.To manufacture, assemble and install new work as appropriate to his/her skill level.To use all relevant tools and equipment as appropriate to his/her skill level.To understand fully the inter-relationship between various maintenance crafts.To maintain and efficiently run plant and equipment as appropriate to his/her skill level.To carry out unsupervised minor maintenance and repairs and report any defects, unusual circumstances, delays, or difficulties encountered to the Chargehand/Supervisor.Ensure all Planned Preventative Maintenance work is carried out effectively in compliance with maintenance instructions.To unblock macerators, toilets, urinals, and sinks etc.

Repair internal and external drainage systems.

Using Personnel Protective Equipment to prevent exposure to un-contained body fluids.Person Specification:Previous appropriate working experience or training, in skills development, including the safe use of tools and equipment.Experience in a building maintenance or industrial environment.To apply the application gained through experience in dealing with a range of work procedures and practices some of which are no-routine.Able to record information accurately e.g., log sheets, list of material requirements.Ability to use hand tools, associated trade tools, equipment and machinery for maintenance, repair, and minor improvement/new work to required standard.Salary & Benefits:Salary between £23,000 - £26,000Monday - Friday 8am - 4pm (overtime available)24 days annual leave (+ public holidays)Life Cover equivalent to 1.5 times annual salaryEmployee discount shopping schemes on major brands and retailersGym membership discountsHoliday purchase scheme2 corporate social responsibility days per yearBroad range of learning opportunities, such as professional qualifications, collective/individual training, and personalized support programmesAttractive Employee Referral Rewards Scheme
