Senior Educational Psychologist

Service Care Solutions are recruiting for an experienced Senior Educational Psychologist to support our established client in the Surrey area.

The service consists of a specialist Residential Special School and College for Children, Younger People and Young Adults between the ages of 5-25 who have a range of severe Learning Disabilities including Epilepsy and Autism.

The service works in partnership with a leading national charity and achieved a rating of ‘OUTSTANDING’ upon their latest Ofsted inspection.

Job Purpose: Senior Educational Psychologist Salary: £61,848-£67,706 per annum + £250 SCS Sign-Up BonusLocation: Lingfield, SurreyWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30Contract: Full-time | 37.5 HoursThe post holder will be responsible for the operational day-to-day delivery educational psychology input into the wellbeing and to engage, encourage and inspire the Younger People to be themselves.

Key Responsibilities:

To support the Executive Principal and the Therapies Lead in their role, contributing to decision making, service planning and strategy.
To undertake line management of the Psychology and Speech and Language teams including monitoring and reviewing performance.
To promote and facilitate collaborative working, early intervention and integrated solutions, applying psychology to enhance the learning and development of children and young adults.
To assess and provide psychological reports for new students.
To undertake therapy sessions to support the emotional and mental health of children and young adults.
To provide psychological advice to staff within the educational and residential services including working closely with colleagues in the Wellbeing Team.
To provide a high-quality psychological service to students and their families, schools and other partners.

Essential

Psychology Qualification – Psychology (BPS Accredited)
Professional Registration (HCPC)


Substantial experience working with Children & Younger People
Previous experience in Educational Psychology
