Web & Blog Copywriter Intern
JOB DESCRIPTION
DAP is looking to hire Web & Blog Copywriter Intern for Summer 2024.
Responsibilities
Our summer 2024 Web & Blog Copywriter Intern will work alongside the web strategist to build out and optimize our web page copy and blog content.
Weeks one & two, the intern will be trained on the basics of our SEO & web content strategy, then will collaborate with social media team & web strategist to create blog topics and content calendar.
After this point, the intern will be responsible for creating one to two pieces of blog content each week, with opportunities to write, improve and optimize static web page content outside of the blog, as well as support in the creation of eBooks, whitepapers and other important web marketing assets.
Requirements
Major: Journalism, Communications or Marketing preferred; students of other degree programs/specializations will be considered with strong writing portfolio College classification (freshman, sophomore, junior or senior): Senior Strong writing portfolio which includes blogs and/or news articles.
Experience or interest in home improvement, construction and DIY.
Excellent written communication skills.
Experience & proficiency in writing long-form blog-style or newsworthy content.
Ability to understand and interpret marketing data trends to create pointed & data-driven web content and blog topics.
A passion for writing clean, succinct and informative content to help educate the reader.
Efficient, deadline-driven organization & workflow.
A genuine interest in web marketing strategy and SEO.
Confident collaborating & communicating with other marketers in different roles.
