About the role The role of the Learning Support Assistant is to deliver high quality alternative teaching and learning on mainly a one to one basis working with pupils that have either Special Educational Needs, Social, Mental and Emotional Health.

Delivery will be within identified and agreed location this could be school, pupil’s home or external venue.

You will be using creative and varied teaching methods to engage pupils who are out of mainstream education.

The role is to help and support with the development and progression of learning and to integrate them back into mainstream/specialist setting.

Your role will be to work to develop identified areas of weakness.

Reports to: Alternative Provision Lead Key information: The job description is not necessarily a comprehensive definition of the post and it may be subject to modification or amendment after consultation with the post holder Key Tasks & Responsibilities TeachPlan, prepare and deliver teaching and learning for individual pupils with different needsWork from identified teaching areas including SENTeach following the national curriculum as appropriate for the need of the individualUse relevant resources and equipmentProvide feedback to pupilsWorking in a range environmentsAdapting materials and delivery to meet the needs of the learnersTrack and monitor progressAssess learning and development for each pupilManage behaviour and dynamicsCommunicate with parents, schools and Local authorityUnderstand EHCPAdministrative/OtherKeep an up to date registerComplete weekly reportsCreate session plans for the duration of the training programmeComplete evaluation reportsAttend training and meetings as requiredKeeping up to date with own CPD and the recording of this CPDLiaising with the Lead and other relevant partiesAttend and participate in meetings including Tribunals.Working with organizational systemsAny other key duties that may be askedLiaise with class teacher if school basedKey AccountabilitiesFollow LA/school policyRespect confidentialityWork in line with GDPR, safeguarding, Equality and Diversity and PREVENT policiesJob Type: Part-time Salary: £25.00-£30.00 per hour Schedule:Monday to Friday  Work Location: On the road
