Fabric Engineer

Fabric Engineer - Static - Birmingham - Salary up to £30,000 DOE CBW is currently recruiting for a Fabric Maintenance Engineer to be based on a static site in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will have an all-around understanding of most fabric duties and a proven track record in commercial building maintenance.

Working with the maintenance team on-site, he or she will be required to carry out fabric PPM and reactive maintenance.

Key responsibilities:Carry out PPM works on but not limited to the following; doors, fire doors, carpet tiles, ceiling tiles, painting, drains, locks and hingesUndertake any allocated jobs as directed by the Supervisor, Manager and Helpdesk ensuring that all associated paperwork is completed in a satisfactory, accurate and prompt mannerWork alone with minimum supervision or within a team to carry out routine maintenance, repair, and cleaning activity across the siteIntegrate and communicate effectively with contractors and electrical, mechanical, and building services staffCarry out general duties including support by manual labour for relocations and moves, tidying and cleaning Estates areas and Plant roomsRespond promptly and efficiently to breakdowns, damage, and other building fabric requirementsPerson specification:A strong fabric/carpentry knowledge is requiredGeneral knowledge of maintenance worksFormal carpentry and joinery qualificationsValid Driving licenceThis role includes a DBS Standard check therefore ability to pass is essential.Salary & Benefits:Salary of up to £30,000 DOE24 days annual leave (+ public holidays)Life Cover equivalent to 1.5 times annual salaryEmployee discount shopping schemes on major brands and retailersGym membership discountsHoliday purchase scheme2 corporate social responsibility days per yearBroad range of learning opportunities, such as professional qualifications, collective/individual training, and personalized support programmesAttractive Employee Referral Rewards SchemeHours:37.5 Hour weekNo on call rota
