Vehicle Technician Apprenticeship - Porsche Centre South London

Service technicians are trained in all areas of vehicle mechanics and electronics, from engine and exhaust systems to air conditioning and security features.

The role will vary by the employer based upon the specific needs of the location, but the position typically involves:

Developing an understanding of workshop equipment Advising the service receptionists about required repairs Producing time estimates Maintaining repair and service records

Training:
The programme lasts for at least 36-months (3-years) and you'll achieve a nationally recognised qualification You will be employed by Porsche Retail Group Ltd and attend weeklong block training at the Calex UK Training Academy in Slough. Block training is complemented by a combination of regular coaching visits from one of our experienced coaches, as well as Virtual Classroom sessions and E-Learning modules Your development is supported through your apprenticeship journey, with your learning focused towards achieving a qualification recognised across the motor industry This will provide the foundation to develop your career, as there are lots of opportunities within our expanding dealer network to progress and move into new roles once you’ve successfully completed the programme Qualification: Level 3 Motor Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician (Light Vehicle) Before the Standard is met, all apprentices must hold a certificate that meets the EU’s 2014 F-gas regulation You will be expected to hold a full driving licence by the end of your apprenticeship

Training Outcome:

Continued comprehensive training and support, as you progress from apprentice to Porsche-qualified Technician to Master Technician.



Employer Description:
Porsche Centre South London, is located off the A20 towards Bexley. With free onsite parking and stone’s throw away from Tesco Superstore. It’s also a five-minute drive from Bannatyne Health Club and Orpington’s Retail Park.

Working Hours :
Monday - Friday, between 8.00am - 5.00pm. In your 3rd year you will be expected to work Saturdays on a rota basis.
