Apprentice Teaching Assistant
Under the guidance of the class teacher, the apprentice will be involved in working with children to support the education, personal and social development of pupils and establishing positive relationships to assist pupils complete learning activities.
Duties may include:
Support to implement learning activities Support to assist the development of skills to support pupils' learning Support in producing learning resources Support in monitoring and recording of pupil progress and developmental needs Reporting pupil progress to the teacher Work within the schools’ policy and procedures Working to the apprenticeship framework and completing work in a timely manner To undertake any of the duties normally associated with a Teaching Assistant to support with their training and developmentTraining:
The candidate will follow a Level 3 Teaching Assistant apprenticeship standard qualification. This training will be structured and delivered by Cheshire College - South and West. If the candidate does not hold GCSE grades A*-C (9-4) or equivalent, they will be required to complete a Level 2 Functional Skills in the relevant subjects.
Training Outcome:
Potential to complete a Level 5 Teaching Assistant Apprenticeship.

Working Hours :
Monday to Friday, 8.30am - 3.30pm in class (30 mins lunch). 3.30pm - 4.30pm, additional learning time in school.
