Apprenticeship in hairdressing

Greet and prepare clients for their appointments, including offering refreshments Assist stylists by shampooing, conditioning, and applying treatments Keep the salon clean and tidy throughout the day Help with reception duties such as booking appointments and answering calls Support colour services by mixing products and helping apply foils Learn and practise blow-drying and styling techniques under supervision

Training:

The apprentice will receive weekly training both in-salon at Cora Hair, located in Birmingham city centre (Great Western Arcade, B2 5HU), and at Francesco’s Training Academy, based in Birmingham.  

Training will take place one day per week and will include both theory and hands-on practical work on models.  

This will support the apprentice in achieving their NVQ Level 2 in Hairdressing, with additional development provided in the salon throughout the week. 

Training Outcome:

Once qualified, you could progress to a Graduate Stylist role within the salon, with opportunities to develop into a Senior Stylist, Colour Specialist, or Extension Specialist. With experience and ambition, you could also move into areas such as session styling, salon education, or even salon management.

Working Hours :
5 days over 7. 2 shifts at 12pm-8pm 2 shifts at 10am-6pm. Sat 9am-6pm.
