Location: Attard, MaltaPosition: Head Chef Type: Permanent, Full-TimeCuisine: ItalianSalary: €40,000 - €45,000 gross per annumJob Summary:Are you passionate about classic Italian cuisine? Join our team as the Head Chef of our Trattoria Restaurant in Malta.

In this role, you'll oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes in a simple and comfortable setting.Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the kitchen operationsSupervise a team of 5 chefsHandle shift scheduling and rota managementMaintain stock levels, oversee ordering, and ensure quality controlManage budget, control costs, and optimize marginsRecruit and train kitchen staffEnsure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and security regulations
Personnel Requirements:
Previous experience as Chef de Cuisine/Head ChefProficiency in classic Italian cuisine, preferably in a trattoria-style settingCulinary training/diplomaCertification in HACCP standards and food hygienePassion for the culinary artsStrong negotiation skills and supplier relationship managementExperience in mentoring and working with a dynamic teamPositive and motivated attitudeProficient in English
