Senior Authorised Person - Solar O&M

Location:         Cambridge area Role Climate17 are working with an international solar farm O&M provider who manage over 400Mw of solar installations across the UK and over 1.5GE globally.

They currently have an opportunity available in the Cambridge area for an experienced Senior Authorised Person (11/33Kv) to join their growing team.

Responsibilities  Attend customers' sites, maintaining various solar PV systems on a day-to-day basis.

These PV systems are mainly ground mounted.Carry out High-Voltage (HV) and Low-Voltage (LV) maintenance across their portfolio including utilising and testing of solar PV instruments.Compile and review Health and Safety, Risk Assessments and Method Statements and provide reports for senior management.Review equipment and ensure suitability for the associated taskLead the planning and implementation of strategies for the preventative maintenance of high voltage systems up to 33kV.Supervise EPC’s and compliance of legal installation and O&M contractsPrepare and present technical reports by conducting site surveys and audits for works completion and provisional, intermediate, and final acceptance certificates.Train, develop, and mentor staff on health, safety, and other related guidelines and procedures  Requirements  HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (required.)Experience in a similar role and will have held the position of Senior Authorised Person for a period of no less than 2 yearsHistory of testing of protection systems and high voltage assets would be a distinct advantage.Someone must be prepared to travel regionally as part of a small but specialist team, with occasional stays away from home in line with the business’ needsExperience within the solar and/or renewables industry is preferred however not essential.Full Clean drivers’ licence About Us Climate17 is a purpose-led, international Renewable Energy & Sustainability recruitment firm.
