Commercial Counsel

Sacco Mann is working alongside a leading and pioneering organisation which designs and delivers communications and integration services across the UK for consumers and businesses alike.

They have a small and established In-house legal team which requires a UK qualified Solicitor with commercial skills and exposure for (initially) a 6 month assignment to start as soon as possible.

Whilst the department has a base in Humberside, there is the option to work on a hybrid or potentially remote basis.
Reporting into the general counsel, this is likely to suit a commercial solicitor with at least 5 years PQE, though candidates with projects or corporate skills are equally welcome to apply as you look to provide legal advice to the business on a wide variety of issues to ensure the risk to the company is minimised.
Day to day responsibilities will include; Drafting and negotiating with international suppliers, partners, major customers and their advisers on bespoke contracts that achieve strategic commercial and risk objectives - these contracts involve the creation of complex original documents frequently involving multi-million pound turnover and liabilities.

You’ll also manage tender responses and external legal advisers ensuring the work is prioritised according to the needs of the business.
