Plater

An opportunity for several Platers to join our Engineering client based in South Yorkshire , who have been in business for over 20 years specialising in Fabrication and Welding work for a number of bespoke customers from major steel based business to a number of industry contractors.
Our client have already engaged in the delivery of a wide range of high profile projects and on the back of this they have been recently awarded another 3x major contracts and thus are looking to add several Platers on a Permanent Contract.

DUTIES FOR the role of Platers :

To be able to read and interpret detailed engineering drawings.
Mark out sections and components in line with detailed drawings prior to assembly.
Assemble steel components and structures using hand-held tools and equipment.
Understand and work to client specifications.
Operation of overhead crane and safe slinging and lifting techniques to assist and move and/or load.

KEEN TO speak to Platers :

Time served/Apprentice Trained Platers.
Experienced making Structural steel for buildings, Bridges, Hoppers, Platforms.
Experience in the Oil and Gas / Nuclear Industry.
Working with Plate fabrications 0-70mil.

THE OFFER for the role of Plater /Welder :

PAYE Rate of pay £18 an hour basic
Regular Days with midday Friday Finish.
Overtime available, paid at ½ and Double time.
Modern Manufacturing Site.
