Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer

Mobile Commercial Gas Engineer - Midlands - Salary up to £45,000 DOE CBW have a new opportunity for a commercial gas engineer to join a specialised contractor on a permanent basis covering the midlands area.

This role will be covering sites in the Midlands area with the ideal candidate being situated in Birmingham.

This is with a compnay who specialise in industrial burners within process plants.

However, now have more mainstream contracts now and are happy to take on commercial engineers who are willing to undertake manufacturer training and upskill into working on process and package burners as well as standard commercial appliances .

Key Responsibilities:Service of boilers, forced draught burners, water heaters, overhead radiant tubes & warm air heatersIdentify and diagnose faults and repair a wide variety of gas appliances.Commissioning of boilers, burners, water heaters and warm air unitsCarrying out testing and purging of pipework systems to igem/up/1a & igem/up/1Requirement to join an on-call rota (frequency dependant on locationsLiase with the helpdesk team to ensure workload is completed and agreed SLAs are met. Be able to read and understand site specific Rams.Working to pre-defined industry policy / GuidelinesPerson Specification:Commercial gas qualifications – COCN1 CORT1 CIGA1 TPCP1 &1A ICPN1Ability to service and fault find on commercial gas appliances using electrical testing equipment.Ability to use own initiative to problem solve in challenging situations. Industry standard completed apprenticeship.Full clean driving licenseReliable, punctual, and flexible to support the role and all members of the team.Able to work alone under limited supervision. Able to operate handheld electronic device.Domestic gas qualifications – CENWAT, Gas boosters – BMP (Desirable)Forced draught burner experience.
