Senior Steel Quantity Surveyor

They company love what they do, and they enjoy working with people that are passionate about their role and the difference that they can make within our business.They are looking to add a Senior Quantity Surveyor to our team who will be responsible for the commercial management of projects for internal and external clients.

This role requires working in partnership with Project Teams to maintain high standards of quality and profit.

In this role you will report to the Chief Operating Officer.Core Responsibilities

Preparing bills of quantities and schedules of works for pricing.
Preparing and sending out of sub-contract enquires.
Subcontract comparison and preparation of subcontract agreements.
Attending, contributing to and taking minutes of meetings as required.
Preparing valuations with Client’s, agreeing amounts for payment and ensuring invoices are prepared and issued.
Re-measuring work using site measurement and measurement from drawings.
Re-measurement of subcontract applications and processing subcontract payments.
Informing Sub-Contractors of Contract variations.
Valuing variations.
Assisting with reporting on Contract Performance via monthly cost/value reconciliations.
Agreeing Client and Sub-Contract Final Accounts.
Monitoring site costs on a weekly basis providing feedback to construction team as required.
To ensure work is carried out in accordance with the Company’s Health and Safety Policy.
At all times to represent the company in the best possible way, be courteous and professional working to the highest ethical standards.

Experience

Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, Management or similar.
A minimum of 3 years previous experience within the construction industry.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
In depth knowledge of framework contracts.
Proven ability to manage clients and build relationships.
Ability to manage commercial contracts independently.
Experience of working with structural and architectural metal preferred.
Ability to work under pressure.

Location This is an office-based role in Greenford, West London.

Typical hours of work will be 8am until 5pm Monday to Friday.

In return they can offer a salary of £65,000 - £70,000 per year with 20 days of paid holiday and paid Bank Holidays.
