Finance Director

Harper May is currently collaborating with a reputable property management group with a strong track record of excellence in managing commercial properties.

They are currently seeking a talented Finance Director to join their team on a part-time basis (two to three days a week).As the Finance Director, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the financial operations of the group.

You will be responsible for providing strategic financial guidance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and driving operational efficiency.Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the financial operations reporting to group CFOManage the finance team to meet month end reporting requirementsObtain and maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure.Assist in accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close.Ensure the timely reporting of all monthly financial information.Supports budget and forecasting activities.Monitors and analyses department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.Advise staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions as needed.Development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.Provide training to new and existing staff as needed.Streamline the existing accounting processes.Develop and deliver concise, robust, and clear reports suitable for the Board and other stakeholders, incorporating input from quantity surveyors, accounting functions, and legal support as necessary.Ensure the transparent and auditable utilisation of each funding stream within the comprehensive financial plans, with the ability to explain any alterations effectively.Provide contextualisation of current and planned activities within the legal framework advised by Group lawyers, facilitating prompt decision-making by the Board.
Qualifications/Skills
ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified or equivalentProven experience in finance management.Good communication skills.Strong leadership qualities.Excellent interpersonal skills.Sound knowledge of accounting fundamentals.Auditing experience.Compliance oriented.Proficiency in accounting software.Analytical skills.
