Contract Mechanical Design Engineer - Solidworks

Are you a skilled Contract Mechanical Design Engineer seeking something new and exciting?
Do you have proven experience of using Solidworks and designing industrial/electronic products?

The Redline Group have an exciting opportunity for a Contract Mechanical Design Engineer – Solidworks to support them in several core projects at their offices in Hampshire.

This is an initial 6-month opportunity, working with a small, dynamic and collaborative team.

This role has an indicative OUTSIDE IR35 determination therefore we can accept candidates who would like to operate through their own PSC.

The company are responsible for some of the most ground-breaking technology being developed in the UK today.

Having partnered with this customer for a number of years, we have seen them grow their product offering into several emerging markets, with a view to expand this further in 2024 and beyond.
You will be involved in one of the major NPI projects, using your years of experience not only in mechanical design but the more mathematical and physics-based aspects of your skills to assist them as they take the next step in their growth.

Key Skills Required: Contract Mechanical Design Engineer – Solidworks, Hampshire
- Strong experience with Solidworks
- Experience in a precision electronic or industrial product design role
- Experience of designing sheet metal fabrications/CNC machining
- Knowledge of geometric tolerances (GD&T)
- Skills with CFD/thermal management are HIGHLY desirable
