Job Summary
As a Building Service Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of building systems within our client's facilities.

You will be responsible for conducting inspections, diagnosing issues, and providing technical expertise to optimize the performance of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

This position requires strong technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities
Design heating systems for residential and commercial properties, including plant rooms, considering factors such as heat load calculations, energy efficiency, occupant comfort, and compliance with relevant codes and regulations.

Collaborate with clients, architects, and contractors to understand project requirements and provide expert guidance on heating system design, equipment selection, and installation methods.

Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for system design, including existing infrastructure, spatial constraints, and client preferences.

Perform heat load calculations and utilize software tools to determine optimal heating system capacity, pipe sizing, radiator/ventilation placements, and other design parameters.

Prepare detailed design drawings, specifications, and technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and adherence to project requirements.

Evaluate and select appropriate heating equipment, such as boilers, heat pumps, radiators, underfloor heating systems, and associated controls, considering energy efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.

Coordinate with electrical engineers and other stakeholders to integrate heating systems with electrical, plumbing, and building automation systems, ensuring seamless operation and control.

Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in heating system design, and incorporate innovative and sustainable solutions into projects.

Provide technical support during the installation, commissioning, and testing phases of heating system projects, ensuring compliance with design specifications and quality standards.

Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to address design challenges, resolve issues, and ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

Proven experience as a Building Service Engineer or similar role, with a strong understanding of building systems and maintenance practices.

In-depth knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical systems, plumbing systems, and fire safety systems, including their components, operation, and maintenance requirements.

Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, utilizing appropriate tools and equipment.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
