Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students with ASD, learning difficulties and SEND across Key Stages 1 to 4, providing tailored support to meet their individual needs.

You will work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued and supported.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with ASD and SEND, both in the classroom and in specialized support settings.
Assist teachers in planning and delivering differentiated lessons and adapting learning materials to suit the needs of individual students.
Support students in developing their social skills, communication abilities, and independence.
Implement behaviour management strategies and interventions to support positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
Work closely with parents, carers, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to student support and progress monitoring.

Requirements:

Previous experience working with students with ASD and SEND is preferred but not essential.
A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents/carers.
Relevant qualifications in education or special educational needs (SEN) are desirable but not essential.
Willingness to undergo necessary background checks and safeguarding training.
