Mechanical Systems Engineer

Holt Executive are supporting a leading manufacturer who plays a key role in global aviation specialising in building and delivering wings for commercial aircraft.

They are seeking a talented Mechanical Systems Engineer to join their dynamic Landing Gear department and play a key role within the Mechanical Systems (Gears) team.

Rates:

- £28.73 Per Hour PAYE
- £38.00 Per Hour Outside IR35/Umbrella

Key Responsibilities for the Mechanical Systems Engineer:

- Investigate root causes of issues and implement solutions, including equipment modifications.
- Develop and qualify new mechanical systems, ensuring they meet stringent safety, cost, quality, and timeliness standards.
- Lead the development of systems to meet product needs and ensure adherence to established processes.
- Collaborate with specialists to guarantee compliance with certification requirements.
- Manage and mitigate project risks and opportunities, keeping stakeholders informed.

Skills and Experience Required by the Mechanical Systems Engineer:

- Knowledge and experience in developing mechanical systems, including hydro-mechanical components and equipment.
- Educated to degree level in Engineering or a related discipline.
- A strong background in engineering, systems, and equipment design.
- Proven ability to manage tasks, deliver on time, and meet cost and quality targets.
- Experience leading project teams and managing stakeholders.
- Experience with structural analysis (static stress and/or fatigue).
