THE POSITION
Are you a dedicated and passionate Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist seeking a fulfilling career opportunity? Look no further! We are pleased to announce a unique and exciting position in Western Australia, within the CAMHS Eating Disorder Service (EDS).

The EDS is the tier 4 State-Wide Specialist Service, offering assessment and treatment to young people with severe eating disorders.

It is a multi-disciplinary team providing outpatient care, day treatment, inpatient care, and support groups.

The program supports children and young people and their families through assessment, recovery, and discharge from the service.

Our primary intervention is Family Based Treatment (FBT).
As a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering diagnostic and consultative speciality services in Psychiatry.

Your contributions will extend to teaching, research, quality improvement, and administrative activities within the inpatient unit.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide high-quality clinical management and treatment to patients at the inpatient unit.
Uphold and elevate professional standards while fostering an academic environment that supports education, research, and professional development.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
Successful candidates will be required to meet the following criteria:

Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or approved equivalent.


Eligible for registration by the Medical Board of Australia
AHPRA Registration
Australian Working Rights
Working with Children Check
