The Co-ordinator Review & Child Protection will:Ensure Local Authority provides quality social work and review services for children in need of protection or who are looked afterChair child protection conferences and reviews in accordance with relevant legislation and guidanceDevelop and review child protection and care plans to ensure good outcomes for childrenProvide consultation to the wider service and partner agencies on child protection and care planningPromote fair access to services and ensure services consider cultural and linguistic backgrounds of children and familiesMaintain health and safety standards and promote a positive public image of the Council's children's servicesWork within professional ethics and disciplines of social workInfluence partner agencies to provide quality services and collaborate with them to ensure multi-agency assessment and planningContribute to the development of practice frameworks and decision-making regarding budgets and resource allocationEnsure children and young people's voices are heard and considered in decision-making processesProvide guidance and support to social work staff and participate in service planning and review processesConduct case audits and resolve issues where a child's needs are not metEnsure statutory requirements are met and contribute to data management and reportingChair meetings effectively and make complex decisions regarding children's service provisionManage workload effectively and promote effective communication internally and externallyPursue personal and professional development to progress in career developmentSirona Medical will be providing the Co-ordinator Review & Child Protection to a Local Authority.This is a full time vacancy inside IR35, 37 hours per week for 3 months initially.As a Co-ordinator Review & Child Protection, you must have a degree in Social Work, recent management/leadership experience.To act in accordance with Social Work England registration requirements and Code of Conduct for exercising accountability and professional practice.Previous experience and/or qualifications in Social Work are essential to apply for this role, recent experience in working in similar team is also essential.
