Senior Finance Lead Location: London Contract: Temporary (3 months) Rate: £400 per day Start Date: ASAP Sector: Local Government *Hybrid Working* Contact: greg.waite@servicecare.org.ukJob Description Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in South London for a Senior Finance Lead to join the team on a temporary basis.

The postholder will provide support to the Strategic Finance Business Partners to deliver financial support and advice to budget managers and support corporate financial planning processes.
Main Responsibilities

Support and advise budget holders in high risk budget areas in day to day financial management of revenue and capital budgets
Support and advise budget holders in day to day financial management of the delivery of the capital programme and revenue savings programmes
Support the Strategic Finance Business Partner (SFBP) in the development of the Medium Term Financial Plan and production of required working papers that support this.
Provide financial management support and advice to service areas across the core financial cycle of budget setting, budget monitoring and closing of the accounts
Provide financial support to service led projects and business change activities including close working with the corporate transformation team

Candidate Criteria

Qualified/Part-Qualified CCAB/CIMA Accountant
Extensive experience of working with a Local Authority Finance environment
Experience of advising budget holders, supporting the development of the MTFP and contributing to the closure of accounts
Experience of budget monitoring, including the financial management of capital and revenue budgets
Great communication skills with the ability to work well on own initiative as well as part of a team
