Senior Electronics Engineer

A global leading technology organisation are seeking a Senior Electronics Engineer to join their expanding R&D facility, based in Southampton, Hampshire.

As the Senior Electronics Engineer, Hampshire you will report into the Senior Engineering Manager and be responsible for designing new laser systems from concept through to manufacture, testing and writing of assembly instructions and bills of materials.

You will develop electronics and software/firmware for state-of-the-art laser products and work within the electronics and software team to take ownership of design, test, documentation and other development related activities for ongoing engineering projects.

Other responsibilities of the role will include:
-Considering customer requirements over the design lifecycle.
-Working collaboratively with engineering and project teams to achieve solutions.
-Ensuring deliveries are met within project deadlines.
-Managing relevant parts of engineering projects.


-Ensuring design can be manufactured with satisfactory yield and cost in close collaboration with suppliers.


-Be capable of programming in C, VHDL etc to support circuit design.

Ensures documentation and release of all work via PLM/PDM and other company systems.

The Senior Electronics Engineer, Southampton, Hampshire will likely have an Engineering Degree or relevant experience, along with experience in developing electronics or firmware for embedded systems over the complete product life cycle.
