Position Overview:

As a Criminal Duty Solicitor, you will play a crucial role in handling a diverse spectrum of responsibilities encompassing Magistrates and Crown Court casework, attending police stations and prisons for client representation, and managing a variety of criminal matters.

This role presents a remarkable opportunity to take on challenging cases and make a lasting impact in the realm of criminal law.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage a demanding caseload involving Magistrates and Crown Court cases.
- Represent clients during interviews and hearings at police stations and prisons.
- Provide expert legal advice and representation in a professional and empathetic manner.
- Exhibit specialized proficiency in various areas of criminal law, particularly in Regulatory and Business offenses, including trading standards, health & safety, food hygiene, and environmental prosecutions.

Qualifications:

- Demonstrable experience as a Duty Solicitor, with eligibility for the next Duty Rota.
- Profound knowledge and expertise in the field of criminal law.
- Outstanding advocacy and communication skills.
