Civis Engineers

A client within the Public Sector based in the Northeast is currently recruiting for several Civil Engineer to join their design team as soon as possible.

The client is offering a full time, temporary position on an ongoing basis with the ideal candidate having experience of working within a local authority within a civils environment.



The Role
Key purpose of the role is to assist with the delivery of a programme of civil & highway infrastructure projects of all sizes, complexities and risk through conception, feasibility, planning, design, construction, and post construction phases to the required quality within specified time and cost constraints.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

support and promote the Council’s core values and corporate service standards and to communicate these throughout the team.
carry out necessary consultations with other groups, sections, departments and organisations.
assist in the development of a culture which is consistent with the Council’s vision of enthusiastic and forward-looking partnership, and delivery of efficient and effective services within a Customer First environment.
the operation and participation as necessary, in the Council’s emergency plan and callout procedures.




The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require Higher National Certificate (HNC) or a Degree in Civil Engineering.
The below skills would be beneficial for the role:

Experience of interpreting engineering drawings, maps and historical records.
Experience of using AutoCAD and producing drawings for civil engineering projects.
Knowledge of current relevant legislation.
Experience in completing complex, technical tasks to a high standard and to set deadlines.
Experience in decision making overing complex and varied issues.


The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £27 - £45 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35.
