About The RoleAt Saha, we are dedicated to providing comprehensive, good quality housing services, support and resettlement for people who are or have recently experienced homelessness and who are in need of support and accommodation.An exciting opportunity has become available for a Volunteer Counsellor to join the team based in our supported housing service in St Austell.To help us with our mission to transform lives of some of the most vulnerable people by providing one to one talk therapies for over 18’s. Residents may have experienced trauma and or have complex needs.  We want to offer this service as part of their journey to progression from being homeless, to being independent.Great additional benefits- Training opportunities to aide your own personal and professional developmentExpenses paid
Insurance provided.You will receive regular 1:1 Supervision sessions (nonclinical)About The CandidateAs a Volunteer Counsellor you will need to:
Be able to show the core conditions of counsellingBe in your second year or completed at Advanced diploma level/ degree levelWill have already completed 50 Counselling hours.Have some experience of working with clients with complex needs.
A Disclosure and Barring Service Enhanced Certificate will be required and obtained through Saha.
