Housing Support Worker - HalifaxAre you a passionate, dedicated Housing Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are recruiting 3 Housing Support Workers to join a team based in Halifax.Umbrella Rate: £13.61 per hour Duration: 25/03/2024 – 2 months initiallyHours: Monday to Friday, 09:00 - 17:00, 37 hrs/week – HybridHousing Support Worker role: Full JD Available
Direct work with people/ families who have fled domestic abuse, some who have drug/alcohol/Mental Health needsSupport them to maintain their current Temporary Accommodation while supporting them to find more permanent accommodationAssist clients to secure and move into settled accommodation and where necessary ensure that continued support is in placeSupport them with recovery from DA trauma and their complex needsSupporting them to keep safe through a coordinated approach to Risk Assessing (DRAMM & MARAC and accessing our Partner agencies)Identify the practical and support needs of the households concerned, develop detailed support plansComplete comprehensive risk/safety assessments and plansAssist to apply for benefits, secure health, education and other services and integrate into their local communitiesAssist clients to obtain appropriate benefit payments, health care and all other services to which they are entitledMake arrangements for children to enter local schools, colleges and nurseries and as a link between parents and the schoolsLiaise with the Housing Options Team and provide information necessaryAttend relevant meetings including MARAC, as well as plan and arrange specific case meetings and reviews e.g.

MDT’s (Multi-Disciplinary Team Meetings)Maintain comprehensive, accurate and up to date records and to provide statistics and data as required
Essential Requirements
UK Driving Licence, access to a vehicle, business insuranceExperience of working directly with adults and children who have experienced domestic abuseExperience of housing support workKnowledge of managing and assessing riskAbility to influence and motivate others to change behaviourAbility of lone workingExcellent written and verbal communication skillsYou Must Have Right to Live & Work in the UKEnhanced Child DBS registered to the update service
