Production Shift ManagerMonday – Friday 6AM-2PM ShiftUp to £45,000 Depending on experience.

                                                            Greater Manchester The Production Shift Manager will be responsible for leading and managing the Production team to effectively achieve the planned volume whilst controlling labour and materials.

Experience as a Production Shift Manager within a food manufacturing environment.Continuous improvement mindset able to plan, implement and manage change.Excellent understanding of manufacturing processes and procedures with strong technical knowledge.Autonomous and ability to work on your own initiative.
  The Role
Management of Health & Safety, Quality, GMP, labour, materials, and waste to agreed standards through your team (including accident and near miss reporting, holiday cover, investigations).Ensure SOPs and quality standards are available, current, and understood.Ensure team leader safety and quality checks are completed as per procedure.Ensure key performance targets, standards and objectives are set, clearly communicated, understood, reported on in a timely manner and owned by the relevant individuals.Ensure you and your team adhere to, support, behave and operate in line with agreed business process and policy.Deliver, operate, and maintain all activities required to ensure food safety, quality, legality and integrity throughout all site production, storage and packaging operations, achieving this through a root cause mentality and rigor to adhere.Proactively build an engaged and effective team that is accountable and welcomes responsibility.Drive, promote, support, and engage employees in value added engagement and continuous improvement.Ensure training and development needs are identified and are acted on in a structured way.

Liaise with relevant support resources as required (e.g.

Training Manager).Proactively role model, good performance and behaviour.

Constructively manage and correct poor performance, poor behaviour and non-compliance within a timely manner and utilising the appropriate business processes where required.Be prepared to coach, mentor, and train your team on a timely basis.Create and manage a succession plan that protects the business, drives it forward and develops individuals and enables them to utilise their strengths.Engage, facilitate, and manage your team through change; effectively, respectfully and paced appropriately.Carry out and facilitate site visits within your area of responsibility that support and represent both the company and Customer brand effectively.
