Location: Waltham Abbey Essex (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £50k (DOE) + Excellent Benefits

The Client:

A well-established firm, our client specialises metal roofing for both commercial and residential properties.

The Role:

As a Cladding & Roofing Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in preparing tenders and conducting take-offs from construction drawings.

Responsibilities:

* Calculate rates, including labour, material costs, and preliminary items.
* Utilise Bluebeam estimating software for accurate take-offs.
* Populate client bills of quantities and pricing schedules.
* Prepare scope-marked drawings using Bluebeam.
* Attend handover meetings for secured projects.
* Maintain accurate records of tender submissions, queries, and RFIs.
* Understand target u values and calculations.
* Negotiate best prices and understand client requirements on-site.
* Manage project values ranging from £200k to £4M+.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key clients.
* Research materials, equipment, and labour costs.
* Assist the document controller in gathering quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
* Support the document controller with technical submittals for secured projects.
* Collaborate with the design department on secured projects.


Requirements:

Essential:

* Previously worked as an Estimator or in a similar role.
* Ideally have 5 years of experience in flat roofing and rainscreen cladding.
* Good telephone skills with smart appearance.
* Comprehensive knowledge of non-combustible cladding solutions for high-rise buildings and fire barriers.
* Understand target U-values and calculations.
* Skilled in Excel, Word, Outlook, and Bluebeam.


Desirable:

* Experience in estimating for CWCT Aluminium rainscreen cladding systems.
* Familiarity with estimating for cavity and fire barriers.
* Knowledge of Inverted hotmelt solutions, single ply warm roofs, tapered insulation schemes, three-layer felt warm roofs and cold applied liquids.
* Skilled in estimating with manufacturers and SFS lightweight framing systems.
