Maintenance Engineer
The role of the Maintenance Engineer is to provide a full preventative and breakdown maintenance service across a wide range of production machinery & equipment. The role will also support the general building maintenance, fault finding, installation and inspection of the electrical infrastructure within company sites.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Electrical & Mechanical repair & preventative maintenance of all machinery, electrical equipment & factory services to a high standard in accordance with manufacturers specifications
- Electrical/Electronic & Mechanical fault finding and repair on all production equipment including CNC & PLC controlled machinery
- Undertaking of preventative maintenance schedules and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) related activities (where appropriate)
- Working within H&S Regulations and company procedures at all times
- Improve the reliability of machinery and equipment
Person Specification
- Experience in a manufacturing environment and be able to demonstrate previous experience of undertaking preventative maintenance, repairs and installation of electrical, mechanical and electronic equipment
- HNC/HND ideally to degree level or equivalent
- Effective fault finding skills
- A strong understanding of PLCs
- Ability to lead a team or autonomously
- Extensive CNC machine maintenance experience preferable
- Electro-Mechanical skills including Hydraulics, Pneumatics & Industrial Control
- Problem solving skills and the ability to identify and implement solutions to prevent reoccurrence of breakdowns
- C&G 2391 Inspection & Test & 17th Edition IEE Certification or equivalent is advantageous
- A drive to improve reliability of machinery and equipment through Continuous Improvement
