The Role:
As a Behaviour Mentor specializing in SEMH, you will play a crucial role in supporting students across Key Stages 1 to 5 who require additional assistance with their social, emotional, and mental health development.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

Providing one-to-one and small group support to students with SEMH needs
Implementing behavior management strategies to promote positive conduct and emotional regulation
Building strong relationships with students, providing mentorship and guidance
Collaborating with teachers, parents, and external agencies to develop personalized support plans
Monitoring and tracking student progress, providing feedback and reports as required
Participating in staff training and professional development activities related to SEMH support

Qualifications and Experience:

Experience working with children or young people with SEMH needs, preferably in an educational setting
Relevant qualifications or training in behavior management, counseling, or related fields
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students and stakeholders
Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting the social and emotional development of students
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the varying needs of students and respond to challenging situations
