Senior Early Years Consultant

4Recruitment Services are seeking  a Senior Early Years Consultant  for our client based in Barnsley.The working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm, hybrid working role.The successful candidate will lead a team of early years consultant in the accelerated development of high quality learning and provision for 0 to 5 year olds in Family Centres, settings and schools in order to raise achievement levels whilst narrowing the gap between the lowest achieving children and the rest.The portfolio of work includes leading the development of a consistently high quality of Early Years Foundation Stage support offered to Family Centres, settings and schools including the achievement of relevant targets and National Indicators related to early years learning outcomes. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Lead the planning and deployment of the Early Years Consultants/QTS into schools, Family Centres and settings, providing high quality support to address priorities within a locality or against borough-wide priorities, ensuring the effective delivery of relevant statutory frameworks.Lead the provision of training and consultancy to practitioners that impacts upon the quality of provision and raising standards promoting Early Start and Family Services as a high quality Local Authority serviceTake a leading role in developing and implementing Barnsley’s quality improvement programme for the early learning and childcare sector as part of the Senior Management Team of the Early Start & Families ServiceResearching, developing and implementing appropriate projects and initiatives utilising structured project and change management approaches that contribute towards improving provision, raising standards and disseminating best practice.Take a leading role in strategically using data and information in order to target resources and support , including evaluating and disseminating information to all involved in the successful support and delivery of the EYFS.Manage the provision of differential support based on identified and agreed need to settings to improve the quality of provision and the raising of standards.Take a leading role in ensuring statutory requirements of the relevant curriculums and statutory frameworks are met including the co-ordination of statutory assessment and reporting of data alongside the local authorities’ Moderation ManagerTo lead an unrelenting focus upon and implement initiatives to raise the standards of achievement within the relevant curriculum and frameworks whilst narrowing the gap between the most vulnerable children and the performance of other children within Barnsley and nationally through high quality, high impact support.Work with  practitioners in their settings to plan and develop high quality, inclusive early years provision, supporting settings in preparation for, and with their action planning following Ofsted inspection.
ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Degree with Qualified Teacher statusEvidence of substantial further trainingEvidence of recent study/training relevant to early years and child developmentHave recent experience of successfully leading in the Early Years Foundation Stage in a school/local authority and/or settingsHave experience of leading the improvement of Early Years Foundation Stage provision and outcomes across a range of settings and/or schoolsHave successful experience of partnership working with parents and other early years providers and support agencies.Have experience of writing plans, reports and policies, including analysing data and monitoring and evaluating these to determine impact.Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of good practice in the early yearsComprehensive knowledge and understanding of statutory curriculum assessment.Knowledge and understanding of local and national educational initiatives in the early years.
