Plant Manager
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Plant Manager working with a leading UK construction manufacturer with a large network of sites across the country, at its Eastbourne concrete plant which has recently undergone a 6-figure capex investment.
The Plant Manager position is a varied role, where you will be responsible for the running of all aspects of the facility in a construction production environment, ensuring H&S is prioritised, whilst ensuring the production needs of our customers are met.This is an amazing chance to work for an industry-leading organisation that can offer the right candidate first-class training and development to run the plant to meet the company standard.
Prior experience in this field is not essential, however, some construction experience is desirable.What’s in it for you as a Plant Manager: - A salary of up to £33,500 - Hours of work: Monday to Friday 07:00 – 17:00, Saturday 07:00 – 12:00 - Location: Eastbourne, East Sussex - Permanent Contract - Training provided - Varied role, managing all aspects of the plant - Job security working for an industry-leading organisationKey Plant Manager responsibilities: - Responsible for the accurate production of Readymix products - Promoting and complying with, Company Health and Safety policies and procedures at all times - Completing weekly and monthly stock checks and reporting defects - Controlling drivers, visitors, collect and cash customers coming onto site, ensuring that site rules are complied with - Working with management and contractors to control and organise plant maintenance as required - Enforcing environmental policies and procedures (14001) - General housekeeping and site improvements, updating and monitoring recordsEssential Qualifications and Experience for Plant Manager: - Self-motivated, responsible, and excellent interpersonal skills - Good communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with customers and suppliers - Commitment to Health, Safety and Environmental standards - Flexible and positive attitude to working times in line with business requirements is essential.
