Assistant Accountant

Job Description:
Core – Asset are working on an exciting new role for an Assistant Accountant to join a leading firm based in Edinburgh.

This is an excellent opportunity for a CIMA or ACCA or a part qualified accountant looking to develop their career.

Essential Skills/Experience:

A CIMA or ACCA part-qualification is essential, with a view to actively studying towards a full qualification.
Experience in a busy finance or accounting position is required.
Strong accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Sage 200 is desirable


Core Responsibilities:

Assisting with the production of management accounts
Preparing and maintaining reconciliations of accounts in the business Balance Sheets
Preparation of financial accounts for audit
To assist with production of annual budgets and interim forecasts
Assist with the preparation of VAT returns
To assist with the maintenance of controls through critical appraisal of existing policies and procedures
