Senior Analytical Chemist

We are currently looking for a Senior Analyst to join a leading company based in the East Midlands area.

As the Senior Analytical Chemist you will be responsible for undertaking the chemical analysis of raw materials, intermediates and finished products according to set procedures and methods as well as preparing reagents, mobile phase and solutions according to set procedures and pharmacopoeial methods.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Your duties as the Senior Analyst will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:

1.

Working as part of the Analytical team, you will be responsible for undertaking the chemical analysis of raw materials, intermediates and products according to set procedures and methods as well as preparing reagents, mobile phase and solutions according to set procedures and pharmacopoeial methods.

2.

You will perform analytical testing using various techniques such as UV, IR, KF, HPLC, GC and dissolution analysis.

3.

You will be responsible for the compilation of completed scientific documentation while maintaining accurate records of all work completed.

4.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the Senior Analyst we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:

1.

Relevant degree in a Chemistry or a Life Science subject with a significant chemistry portion.

2.

Proven industry experience in a GMP laboratory environment.



3.

A working knowledge and practical experience with analytical techniques (UV, IR, KF, HPLC, GC and dissolution analysis)
