Senior Data Architect

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Architect to join one of our clients teams.
Role and Responsibilities:

Working as a part of the PwC CZ Cloud Transformation team and our global network of experts, you will be responsible for building modern data platforms as well as designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable production-grade data transformation pipelines.
You will need to deep dive into solution architecture, data architecture, data management and warehousing, ETLs, data governance and data versioning.

All that packed into fully automated DevOps pipelines.

All in collaboration with colleagues participating within those areas as well as clients to deliver production ready data driven solutions.

Requirements:

Strong previous experience working in a data architecture and data-driven role (either as an external consultant or an in-house expert).
Understanding of what makes sense to be used for specific scenarios and use cases from an architecture perspective, while considering also cost efficiency of the proposed architecture.
Knowledge of various patterns and standards, how to design a scalable, secured and high performing architectures.

Deliver and implement it afterwards together with a delivery team.
BSc or MSc University degree (preferably in Math, Computer Science, Economics, Physics, Operational Research or related)
Previous or current hands-on experience (university and personal projects do not count) with data analysis tools and technologies (SQL - must, Python - must, PySpark - advantage)
Knowledge of tools and programming languages used in large data sets analysis in Hadoop ecosystem (Spark, Hive, Pig) on an Data Architect level.
Experience with building data pipelines to integrate various applications and systems (ETL)
Willingness to learn new tools and software solutions.
Very good command of English
Strong interpersonal and communication skills - essential in day-to-day cooperation with clients and the team

Additional Requirements (nice to have):

Azure Certifications (AZ-303,AZ-304, AZ-305,…)
Ability to design and model data structures to support complex systems efficiently
Experience with building real-time/streaming data pipelines
Previous experience with development using agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban Interest in artificial intelligence or data science

Duration of project: 3 months
Expected Start date: anywhere between 1st or 3nd week of April
Remote vs Onsite: 70% onsite in Saudi Arabia, 30% remote (all expenses regarding travelling will be covered)
Working hours: According to KSA (Saudi Arabia Standard Time)
