Staff Nurse – Ophthalmic Location: Preston Salary: Up to £37,000 plus benefits and enhancements Hours: Full time Contract: PermanentMediTalent are recruiting on behalf of a state of the art, private eye care hospital in Preston for a Staff/Registered Nurse specialising or experienced in Ophthalmology care.
This bespoke private hospital deals with exclusively ophthalmic care such as laser eye surgery or cataracts, standing at the forefront of eye care.You will join a dedicated and well-established team, you will be experienced in working in the general ward environment and be competent performing different eye tests ie visual acuity, visual field test, biometry, ocular scan etc.
Your role will be to ensure that standards of patient care are always maintained in accordance with agreed operational policies and procedures.
Working to maintain and enhance the customer service and satisfaction of service users.
As a skilled member of the nursing team promote and safeguard the well-being and interests of all patients, employees, and visitors.
Assess, plan, implement and evaluate individualised patient care.
Prepare and maintain clinical records of patient care, with reference to Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) standards for records and record keeping.The right candidate:
Must have NMC Pin
The ideal candidate will be a Registered Nurse Level 1Diploma/BSC IN Nursing or Registered Nurse Level 2 with relevant competencies for the role.
Evidence of relevant clinical professional development preferably evidenced by certification RN with valid NMC Registration.
Experience working within the acute healthcare sector.
1 to 3 years’ experience in ophthalmology clinic performing different eye test and also experience working in a general outpatient environment
