Project Engineer

Alongside a strong base salary of up to £49,000pa, the successful Project Engineer will receive a minimum of 32 days holiday including bank holidays, a discretionary double figure bonus, life assurance up to 4x base salary, pension option and private medical care.

This Project Engineer position located on the Isle of Lewis, is working with a globally leading chemical & pharmaceutical manufacturer.

Additionally, should the successful candidate need to relocate for this role a significant relocation package will be offered.

The company is a globally operating chemical manufacturer, this particular site focuses on the development and manufacture of pharmaceutical products and they are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join them on a permanent basis.

Accountabilities of the Project Engineer:

Provide Engineering technical expertise on CAPEX ensuring all regulatory and business requirements are met.


Support the operational teams during detailed design, procurement and construction, including management of external partners where required.
Generate appropriate documents for plant design, support construction and commissioning teams through-out, to ensure the process plant meets all Engineering design and EHS requirements and safety concepts.
Initiating and co-ordinating Change Management, CAPA, or deviations affecting engineering activities and maintain revisions and updates of key documents.
Provides Technical & troubleshooting support and guidance through liaison with asset, process and production managers in the operating assets

The successful Project Engineer will hold a degree qualification in a technical engineering discipline, for example Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical, as well as a minimum of 2 years’ experience gained in a similar manufacturing environment.
