Project Engineer

This Project Engineer role is working for an award winning and leading Manufacturer of Polymers based in the Greater Manchester area, with a base salary up to £50,000.

In addition to this base salary, you will receive 33 days holiday (inclusive of bank holidays), company pension, Private Healthcare and more.

The Project Engineer will be responsible for planning and implementing mechanical tasks over two chemical manufacturing sites.

You will be tasked with generating proposals and establishing goals in collaboration with the organisation’s management.

In addition to this, the Project Engineer will carry out all work within budget, and suggest changes when and where you believe these need to be made, keeping stakeholders up to date with progress.
Responsibilities of the Project Engineer:

You will manage all phases, including design, procurement, planning, installation, evaluation.
Create designs to solve specific issues, including creating equipment specifications.
The Project Engineer will develop a plans that include the requirements, cost and timings.
Identify, plan and manage required resources, which may include external contractors.
Identify and manage potential risks.
Deliver work on time, in budget and to the required quality.
Change requests must be explained in an understandable, clear, and focused manner.
Identify risk assessment requirements and participate in these as needed.
Analyse tasks concerning the schedule.
Contribute to the verification and signing off of designs.
Actively participate in continuous improvement activities.

To be successful in this position as Project Engineer, you will holds strong experience of Mechanical Management within a Chemical Manufacturing environment, specifically COMAH.

You will hold a good working knowledge of the chemical industry, and be proficient in mechanical design and maintenance of equipment such as reactors and pumps.

The successful candidate will hold a degree in an appropriate mechanical discipline.
