Senior Systems Engineer – Telecommunications

Our partner is seeking a talented Senior Systems Engineer- Telecommunications to join their Tactical Communications and Information Systems (TacCIS) team.

As a Senior Systems Engineer – Telecommunications you will collaborate and lead on exciting, challenging projects at the forefront of the industry.

This role is a full-time position with a hybrid working-from-home arrangement of 2 days per week.

Key Responsibilities for the Senior Systems Engineer – Telecommunications:

- Leverage your expertise to support projects and programs within the TacCIS team.
- Collaborate with clients and working groups to define operational concepts and user needs.
- Gather, analyse, manage, justify, and break down requirements for effective project execution.
- Manage interfaces and trade-offs between systems, subsystems, functions, and requirements to ensure seamless integration.
- Apply best practices in systems engineering and critical thinking to develop innovative solutions.
- Create and deliver clear, concise technical documentation and participate in reviews to ensure accuracy.

Key Skills & Experience Required for the Senior Systems Engineer – Telecommunications:

- Extensive, demonstrably successful experience in Telecommunications Engineering, encompassing trials, demonstrations, and deployments.
- Proven track record in Radio Networking Engineering within defence and/or commercial telecommunications systems.
- Adept at requirements capture, derivation, and management.
- Experience applying Systems Engineering methodologies like the Requirements and Acceptance V-Model, ITEAP, and Engineering Lifecycle Management.
- In-depth understanding of telecommunications, including IP routing/switching, IT infrastructure, standard management practices, and RF networking systems as IP Bearer systems.
