Security Clearable C++, Java and Principal Software Engineers

Insignis Talent are working with a leading, multi-national company who are seeking Software Engineers to join their team! This is a fantastic opportunity join a company that develop, supply and support cutting-edge maritime technology for customers, both UK based and worldwide.

In these roles, you will support or lead the development of software systems for products and systems within the maritime defence environment.

This will provide the opportunity to operate in a lead capability, or to develop into a lead role in the future.

Currently there are opportunities for a Principal Software Engineer, a C++ Software Engineer and a Java Engineer.

Key skills/experience required:


ESSENTIAL: Knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering, specialising in C++ or Java
Preferably have an understanding of military systems, in particular maritime systems
Understanding of Open Systems Architectures and Principles
Experience of Software Engineering Lifecycle processes and tools
Ability to solve complex problems and to critically review results and methods to ensure quality
Ability to expand knowledge into new domain areas, work across domains and see the bigger picture
Excellent communication skills, including delivery of presentations
Good written skills including technical report writing, ability to communicate with both experts and non-experts
