As a Trainee Field Service Engineer, you'll commission, service, and train customers on top laser engravers.
Enjoy diverse work with clients from global organisations to retailers and schools.
Full training will be provided.
Other suitable job titles could include Apprentice Engineer, Trainee Electrician, Electrical Improver, Electrical Service Engineer, Electrical Technician.
Candidate locations could include Cambridge, Ely, Soham, Cambridge, Huntingdon, Chatteris, Milton Keynes or Bedford.
The role - Trainee Field Service Engineer will include:
- Servicing and repairing high-end laser engraving machines
- Covering extensive travel throughout the UK
- Working with and diagnosing faults on AD / DC Motors
- Fitting parts / replacing parts
- Electrical fault-finding
- Fitting cabling, wiring and wall boxes
- Working with power supplies
- Component testing of boards
- Reading / understanding electrical wiring diagrams
- Mechanical and Electrical fault finding and troubleshooting
- Commissioning laser systems and proprietary software
- Providing focused and bespoke customer training
- Completing documentation of service and installation visits
The Candidate - Trainee Field Service Engineer:
- Hands-on experience of electrical problem-solving or faultfinding.
- Holds an electrical qualification or has equivalent electrical diagnostics, wiring or installation.
- Understanding or working knowledge AC and DC voltage
- The candidate must be happy with daily travel and occasional overnight stays when the role requires it
- Proven customer service skills with a can-do attitude and excellent interpersonal skills
- Full UK clean and current driving licence (essential)
- A willingness to travel for training (must have a valid UK passport)
- An eagerness to develop technical skills and undertake training and development
Salary and Package - Trainee Field Service Engineer:
- Monday - Friday day shifts working hours 8am-6pm
- Starting salary £28,000 per annum increasing to £31,000 after completion of first year internal exams with further salary development
