Supervising Social Worker

A leading children’s services Social Enterprise is looking for a Supervising Social Worker working 22.5 hours per week based on the Isle of Wight within their Fostering Service.

The role offers a hybrid way of working, with some work completed from home, and at the Hub in Newport, as well as attending face-to-face meetings with the foster carers across the island. There will be a requirement to occasionally attend the Registered Office in Hampshire for team meetings.

Teams are supported by a psychologist and a therapeutic practitioner, who are also foster support workers and business support coordinators. This, alongside manageable workloads, means social workers have the time and resources they need to provide high-quality support to their foster families.

Ideally, you will have Fostering & therapeutic practice experience, preferably within the private sector as this organisation has a strong therapeutic approach to practice (trauma-informed model).
