Machine Operator

Recruit4staff is proud to be representing their client, a leading steel company in their search for a Machine Operator to work at their facility in Shrewsbury.

For the successful Machine Operator our client is offering:

Up to £13.00 per hour DOE2 week shift rotation - Week 1 & 2 - Monday to Friday, 6am – 2:30pm. Week 3 & 4 - Monday - Thursday, 12:00pm - 10:30pmTemporary to Permanent positionTraining and Development opportunities availableIn house licence will be provided Profit-related bonuses & attendance bonuses after qualifying period29 days annual leave including bank holidays

The role - Machine Operator:

Set up and operate CNC sawing equipment to cut aluminium and stainless steel to customer specificationsRead and accurately interpret order sheetsRead and accurately interpret technical drawings to determine cutting requirementsSelect appropriate saw blades, adjust cutting speeds, and position materials for precise cutsUse forklift to collect own materials to load the CNCCheck quality of finished products.Monitor sawing operations to ensure accuracy, quality and adherence to safety protocolsPerforming daily maintenance checks of metal sawMaintain a clean and organised work area

What our client is looking for in a Machine Operator:

Previous experience operating a computerised machine in a manufacturing setting- ESSENTIALAbility to work from blueprints and drawings - ADVANTAGEOUSPrevious experience driving a counterbalance forklift - ESSENTIAL  Previous experience working within the steel industry would be beneficial Physically fit to lift heavy materialsAbility to work in a fast paced environment
