Level 3 Mechanical Manufacturing Engineer Apprenticeship
They will progress through assembly sections, learning about the different mechanical sub-assemblies that come together when installed on machine assembly. The candidate will have the responsibility to complete logbooks, reviews, and observations while on this area.
They will then be moved over to machine assembly, progressing through the different “build stations” learning how the machine is assembled. The final year of the apprenticeship will be completed on machine commissioning. They will have experience working in inspection, service/applications departments. Throughout their apprenticeship the apprentice will be working with high accuracy equipment, using a variety of tools, and utilizing the skills they have gained to deliver innovative products to market.
Training:
The successful candidate will complete the theory training at MGTS. The location address is Brook Building, Arrow Road North, Redditch, Worcestershire B98 8NN. The initial training will be 5 days a week, 8am until 16:30pm. Potentially to achieve HNC in Engineering. They will then return to Heller to begin further training and put what they have learnt into practice. The apprentice will continue to go to college on day release for a further 2 years.
Training Outcome:
Once qualified and the apprenticeship is completed, a full-time position at Heller Machine Tools may be offered to the successful candidate.
