ICT Technician Apprenticeship

Working under the direction of the ICT Support Technician:

Act as the initial point of contact to Advance Northumberland staff, including Advance Head Office and remote sites. Support new user set up of equipment, including: laptops, telephones, mobile phones and tablets. Support the installation and maintenance of network equipment, including patching, Wi-Fi access points, switches and routers. Support the installation of new software and updates to existing software. Support administration and updates to the Active Directory and user accounts. Support first line troubleshooting and ensure proper escalations through Advance Northumberland Helpdesk, and use of the Northumberland County Council (NCC) Service Level Agreement. Support departmental administration and maintenance of all records, including purchase orders, invoices, internal documentation and disaster recover records.  Support Advance Northumberland to maintain high quality, reliable and secure ICT services to the business.  Work to and positively promote all Advance Northumberland ICT and Information Security policies.
