HGV Technician

For the successful HGV Technician, our client is offering:

Salary between £44,000 and £48,000 4 on 4 off day shifts (6am to 6pm)Overtime opportunities available - paid at time and a half Permanent roleOn call required (on a rota basis)

The role - HGV Technician:

Maintaining a fleet of  HGV’s, vans and plantCarry out routine maintenance and repairs on all makes of vehiclesDiagnose and rectify all types of faultsEnsure all vehicles worked upon are handled carefully and that all precautions are taken whilst on the premisesWeld and fabricate components as neededEnsure Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices are adhered toMaintain a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness

What our client is looking for in an HGV Technician:

Level 3 HGV Technician Qualification - ESSENTIALMinimum Class 2 HGV License - ESSENTIALClass 1 HGV License - DESIRABLEWelding skills - DESIRABLEExperience in a commercial workshopProficient in the use of hand and power tools Familiarity with HGV systems, components and maintenance proceduresAbility to complete manual handling tasks
