Assist in providing a safe environment for children Assisting with daily, weekly and monthly checks around the nursery Assist in ensuring the unit is clean and tidy and assist in meal preparation Assist colleagues with developing and maintaining good relationships Taking children on trips out and assist on picking up from school Able to support children’s behaviour and act as a role model Support in ensuring the environment is stimulating and appropriate

Training:
Early Years Practitioner Level 2 Childcare apprenticeship standard  Level 2 Functional Skills maths, if required Level 2 Functional Skills English, if required

Training Outcome:
Potential to gain permanent employment within the setting Potential to progress onto achieving the Level 3 Diploma

Working Hours :
The apprentice will be working 30 hours per week Monday - Friday between the setting's opening hours of 6.00am - 8.00pm with shifts to be discussed.
